Please be VERY careful when heating thermalball or icyball products. If you use heating methods other than using a microwave with the ball completely submerged in water in a microwave safe container - PLEASE be sure that the ball does not touch heating elements found in the sides of Roasters and hydroculators - always use a towel or insulator (plastic hydroculator insert) to keep the ball away from the heating elements. Boiling thermalballs is an accelerated life test, which WILL reduce the life of the ball.
Do Not OVERHEAT thermalball or icyball products as they are not meant to be boiled like a potatoe or continuously kept in an uncontrolled temperature environment. Steam can reach extremely high temperatures and is not a recommended heating method in any configuration. A fridge may not be able to get too cold to be dangerous, but heat needs to be carefully monitored.
